This printer cart makeover is more out of annoyance than necessity. My work space at the office has become increasingly difficult to be in. The colors, the usage of space…it’s all horrible. Last week I did a bit of a bulletin board makeover. This week it was a replacement for the butt-ugly, green-metal typewriter table I have my files sitting on. I found a printer cart in the backroom of doom that my boss said I could use. It was rather rickety, but I brought it home with me on Friday. I moved the back around to the other side so I could have the fold-out portion of the top on the side I needed it on. I filled in some holes, sanded, then painted and stenciled it. I added some glass knobs on the side that will face me so I can hang my purse and added a shelf for extra storage with a piece of wood I was using as a base when I paint. I’m really pleased with how it turned out. I thing this will help make the space a little more bearable. And if I ever get fired, I’m totally taking it with me. 🙂
